Monday Monday wish it was Thursday

Good Morning everyone,

Monday already, gosh the weekend just seems to fly by so quickly, one moment it's Friday the next thing it's Monday well I can't wait until it's Thursday so hope this week moves by quickly.....
Why do I want it to be Thursday you may ask, it's my day to get my scrapping money and the first thing I want to get are theseTim Holtz foundations box feet my local scrapping store has just got in a order of all new Tim Holtz things

But also I can't wait until these become available in stores over here.
And then I found this gorgeous shop on esty it's called Design's by Pamela http://www.etsy.com/shop/delightfuldesigner?section_id=6286210 it has so many gorgeous types of trims, laces, ribbons and flowers that I so need to go and buy some stuff like this

How gorgeous are these, I of course so love them all.
These papers by GCD also look lovely especially as they are doublesided and the colour combination just looks really beautiful I also love the embellishment range Home Spun chic as well.

Now if your looking for something Paris inspired then look no further than Creatologie from Carol Wingert she has a gorgeous new Paris inspired album kit for you all to put together, the colours are black, white and cream and it's filled with lots of gorgeous Paris images, lace, ribbon and papers http://carolwingert.typepad.com/creatologie/2010/03/index.html also a lovely friend of mine Marit Barentsen is doing some more of her gorgeous classes again, they start in May one is called.
A Creative Art History Journal
May 7 - June 15

This workshop combines art history with art journaling.
Lessons available in English and Dutch
(12 lessons over 6 weeks; posted on Tuesdays and Fridays)

If you love art journaling and are eager to learn some art history along the way,
this is the workshop for you! In 12 lessons you will be introduced to 12 different
art periods in time. Each lesson concentrates on a specific art period, handling the characteristics and showing the artists and highlights, followed by an art-inspired prompt.

You will learn about Ancient art, Renaissance, Impressionism, Cubism and others.

There's no need to buy special supplies for this workshop: you'll use what you have from your stash and work in an art journal (book, paper) of your choice.

Here's your chance to increase your basic knowledge of art history and create unique art journal pages inspired by all kinds of artists from different periods.

“A Creative Art Journey” includes:

  • 12 lessons with assignments in pdf format - available in English and Dutch.
  • Each lesson will focus on a different period, handling the history and basic characteristics of the art - followed by a prompt.
  • Access to a private group discussion where you may share, ask questions and interact with the teacher and other class participants.(Access will be activated a few days before the workshop starts or within 24 hours of payment.)
  • Access to group albums for posting your completed assignments and seeing what others have done. (Access will be activated a few days before the workshop starts or within 24 hours of payment.)

And the other is called
Let It Loose
May 3 - June 10

Create and bind your own art journal.
Lessons available in English and Dutch
(12 lessons over 6 weeks; posted on Mondays and Thursdays)

This workshop will loosen you up and take you a step further in creating your own, unique art journal pages.
You’ll learn some basic writing techniques to improve your journaling and you will get tips and techniques to use your own handwriting (You dislike your own handwriting? You might be surprised what you can do with it!)
Furthermore, you will learn art techniques like working with collages, paint, colours, gesso and gel medium.

Twelve written lessons with photo’s (and yes, maybe even a video) will show you what you need to know to get started, challenge you to think outside the box, step away from your comfort zone and take your art a step further. This is your opportunity to learn new approaches to self expression. You will create at least 10 art journal pages which you will bind together with a special binding technique. You will end up with your own unique selfmade book.

“Let it Loose” includes:
  • 12 lessons with assignments in pdf format - available in English and Dutch.
  • Each lesson will focus on writing and/or art techniques using all kinds of topics and challenges. Techniques will be clearly showed through photo’s or demonstrated on video.
