WOYWW #175

Gosh the weeks are just flying by! Hmmmm how long is it till xmas?
Haven't had as much time to play in my craftspace, but I have done a few little projects...
I got the new Tim Holtz valise die on Monday after like searching for ages to get it and have done the covers for a holiday mini, had so much fun playing with this die, so going to make this album in the Prima romance novel paper's as I love this paper range....
Other than that ummm. Let me see what else have I made a little xmas pocket out of a toilet roll, but I wanted to make a bigger size so I have done it in a bigger size, I think the small pockets would make a great swap idea, they are little so not to bulky to post, you could fill it will, trinkets, laces and tickets...
Once again my workdesk is chaotic, you know I cleaned it on Monday and of course had a play that night and it looks like a bomb has exploded on it, yes I am a messy scrapper....
My babe Bella has found gangnam style music I actually was looking at a YouTube video on CBS with the guys and girls from West Point and you know I'm an army wife I love this clip.... anyway Bella has been getting her groove on and trying to ride that pony lol...

So this is what's on my workdesk this Wednesday, what's on your's?

So many crafty projects, I love that suitcase die. I want it. I love his dies too. But, I don't have as many as you do, yet. #9

I adore all your Christmas hangy thingies, all muted colours and nostalgic looking.
Thanks for stopping by, the envelope bag was OK but a bit fiddly on the stuckdown edge as the paper was quite thick there. I got Timmy's tinsel twine in his Winter shades and the mini woodland tree ornaments. The WORDPLAY die I got some time ago. BJ #24

Hi Maria, thanks for visiting my blog earlier. I'm loving all your hanging thingies too esp the suitcase.
Re the origami box/lid on my desk, they were quite easy to make and the tutorial can be found at

Gosh Maria, you're very productive - loving the pocket hanger! At least you use all the dies..I like them, especially this year's Christmas ones, but am so short of ideas for them - they scare me! I love your vintage style, very ethereal and pretty.

Before I get on to WOYWW, I need to tell you about Melt Dust. Melt Dust is a lot finer powder than normal embossing powders so it melts at a lower temperature. You are supposed to buy special papers for it too, but a lot of folks have used it on ordinary papers with good results. I would use it mainly for printing out my own sentiments from the computer. The special papers keep the ink wet for longer so that you can sprinkle the powder over it and it will hold. You need to play with your own printer to get the right settings. Now I have found mine again, I will have a go and see how things work out.

You seem to be pretty busy this week, and lots of lovely things for us to drool over. Have a good week. xx Maggie #88

You have so many things on the go! I like that. I get bored if I work on one thing for too long. I think if you have a few things on the go then you grab anohter one and work on it for a while to get a breather.

I think my favourite is the first one...the bog roll pocket. What a great idea. I just looked at a gorgeous mini book on the Silver Scrapper's blog. She used bog roll liners too.

Yours is so pretty and Victorian.
